Pink, Avril Lavigne Announce
Engagements >>

Pink and Canadian star Avril
Lavigne have both this week
announced plans for
marriage.
Canadian pop/punk star
Lavigne was the first to
spill the beans, revealing
her marriage plans to Sum
41's Deryck Whilbey on
Tuesday (June 28).
Lavigne, 20, and Whilbey,
25, have been dating since
last summer and her official
website backed the report
from People magazine, saying
"We can officially confirm
that Avril and Deryck are in
fact engaged!"
Today it's the turn of Pink,
reportedly proposing to
long-term boyfriend Carey
Hart this week.
The pop star, real name
Alecia Moore, is said to
have proposed to Hart on
Thursday (June 30), a
motocross champion, by
holding up a sign that read:
"Will you marry me?" as he
competed in a race in
Mammoth, California. On his
second lap, Pink turned the
sign over to read "I'm
serious!"
Hart then reportedly pulled
trackside to embrace his new
fiancée.
Pink and Hart met at the
2001 X Games in Las Vegas
and the couple have dated
off-on ever since.
