Avril Lavigne Thanksgiving Cooking Plans

Avril Lavigne has revealed she’ll mostly be spending her Thanksgiving today cooking for her family - and helping husband Deryck Whibley to write new Sum 41 material.

She told OK magazine recently: “I’m going to be entertaining [on Thanksgiving] this year. I’ll be the host and having all my family over and cooking and everything.”

As well as the traditional turkey and trimmings, Avril added: “I make really good butternut squash. I put it in the oven with rosemary, brown sugar, and honey on it. But if you want to be healthy, just put rosemary, olive oil, and pepper on it.”

But Deryck might have to eat his dinner from a prone position after hurting his back recently: “He had to cancel his tour because he hurt his back.”

“He’s been writing songs a little bit right now at the house. I’ll walk in the room and be like, ‘I think you should do this’ and then walk out. That’s kind of the cool thing about doing the same thing. We can always give advice and be there for each other.”
